LA Auto Show – Fun for All Ages

Being married to a “car guy”, I’ve been to the L.A. Auto Show many times over the years. At three, it’s already clear that Jake will be following in Daddy’s footsteps. That said, his attention span is that of a three year old and we thought the auto show would have to wait a few years. With the debut of the Kids Fun Zone at this year’s show, it has turned into an event suitable for all ages. We were invited to check it out at a blogger event last Saturday.

From Acura to Volvo and every manufacturer in between there were cars to suit anyone’s taste. We had a great time checking out all the new models, climbing in and imagining them as our own.

The Kids Fun Zone is a welcome break for restless kids. Jake loved the bounce house and obstacle course.

He couldn’t wait to get behind the wheel of a Viper, even if it was pink. Probably a good thing he has to wait a few more years to get his driver’s license.

Getting creative while decorating a crown at the First 5 California booth.

Jake even got to meet a CHP officer and see a real patrol car close up.

We had such a fun day and can’t wait to go again next year. If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend, head downtown and check it out. The L.A. Auto Show runs through Sunday (12/13) at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Visit the website for a coupon good for $2 off adult admission. Children 12 and under are free.

We were invited to this as well and were bummed we missed out because my girls were not feeling well. It looks like Jake had a blast. My daughter would have been all over that pink Viper!

I'm from Southern California and have never attended that one. I did used to go to the Long Beach one when I lived down there and enjoyed it. I will have to check this one out one year when I have time because it sounds like you guys loved it! :)

While we do have a big car show in January, it doesn't have the children's activities and our brood would get bored quickly…

Never in a million years would I have thought they'd have activities for kids! That is fantastic!
